Ebola Update 10/23/14
Currently, there are no cases of Ebola reported in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The health and safety of the Saint John's Campus is our top priority. HealthPartners Central Minnesota Clinics on the Campus of Saint John's is taking steps to prepare should this occur.
Ebola is a blood borne pathogen and is not airborne. To date, we have no evidence that Ebola is transmitted from either environment or objects unless contaminated by blood, stool or emesis. Ebola is not transmitted casually and patients are considered infectious only when symptomatic. HealthPartners Saint John's Campus staff are equipped to identify the signs and symptoms of Ebola, triage patients as appropriate, and connect patients to the appropriate care facility in the event further care is needed.
