KidStop is an after-school latchkey program for the children at Kennedy Elementary in St. Joseph. Volunteer responsibilities include assisting the staff in planning and supervising recreational and social activities in the school from 2.30-5.30 p.m. Monday- Friday.

Big Brothers Big Sisters
Volunteers at Big Brothers Big Sisters meet weekly in on-to-one interactions with a child in need. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a life-long impact on a child.

Boys and Girls Club
Boys and Girls Club provides opportunities to serve on weekday afternoons as a Reading Buddy, afternoon tutor, and office volunteer work.

LaCruz Community Center
Work as a Youth Academic Mentor and help children of immigrants or refugees ages 5-18 with homework and reading after school.

Reach-Up Inc.
Work as a Classroom Assistant, assisting teachers with children ages 3-5 years with a variety of activities such as reading, art and writing at various sites in the St. Cloud area. Days and times are flexible. Lunch is provided.

St. Cloud YMCA
Work as a Supervised Visit Mentor and monitor court ordered supervised visits, or work as a Rainbow Room assistant and work with and play with kids.


Catholic Charities
Teach or tutor adults who are learning English as a second language.

Hands Across the World
Hands Across the World provides a first-learning experience to newly arrived immigrants and refugees who do not have the language or living skills to thrive in our community. In a classroom environment, they help both children and parents acquire the tools needed to become integrated citizens of Central Minnesota. Numerous teaching and tutoring options are available.


Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities operates an emergency services center that needs volunteers to help registering clients and assisting with food and clothing services.


American Red Cross
Volunteers serve as greeters, refreshment serves, or to assistants with bloodmobiles.

Quiet Oaks Hospice House
Work as a House Volunteer and provide hospitality and comfort to families and patients staying at the Quiet Oaks Hospice house located in St. Augusta. Volunteers prepare meals, answer phones and door, spot clean, assist with laundry and misc. hospitality projects/tasks.

St. Scholastica Convent
Volunteer to assist the laundry personnel by folding and sorting clothing, or help by providing assistance, socialization, and clean-up during mealtime.

VA Medical Center
Provide support to Veterans in the Medical Center as an escort or by working with the Hospice center.

St. Cloud Hospital
The St. Cloud Hospital offers a variety of volunteer opportunities from working in the gift gallery and guest house, to assisting with patient and family care and delivering meals, to helping with hospice and the center for surgical care.


Offer your time delivering meals, calling bingo, entertaining and playing music, decorating for holidays, driving seniors to activities and appointments, planning and working daily and special events, and serving as a one-on-one companion to senior citizens at a variety of locations throughout the St. Cloud area.


Opportunity Manor Inc.
Opportunity Manor is an organization in Sartell that provides programming for people with disabilities and day services to seniors with dementia-related issues. Volunteer as a pen pal or as a reading tutor.

Independence Center Inc.
Independence Center is an organization that creates opportunities for people with special needs and helps them become active citizens. Volunteer to assist with a variety of activities at the center, including arts and crafts, baking activities, playing games, reading stories, watching movies, singing, assisting with community outings, and others.


St. Benedict's Monastery
Work as a computer tutor and teach sisters how to use Facebook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word & Outlook.

Tri-County Humane Society
Volunteers keep cages and animal areas clean, socialize with animals, assist in showing of animals and in good weather walk dogs.
