Come pray, rest, and worship in the presence of our Eucharistic Lord. Campus Ministry invites all to join in a nightly Holy Hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Monday-Friday 9:50AM to 10:50AM
St. Francis Chapel (Behind St. Francis House)
Encounter on Thursdays at 8:15PM to 9:15PM
What is Adoration?
- Adoration is any time spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament - the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ which becomes present in the host during Mass. Adoration can be either simple, in front of the closed Tabernacle, or solemn, with the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a monstrance (the gold stand in the picture).
What do I do in Adoration?
- Read Scripture or a spiritual book
- Pray the rosary
- Listen to God's voice
- Pray part of a novena
- Fall asleep with the Lord
- "What I really prefer is adoration in the evening, even when I get distracted and think of other things, or even fall asleep praying." -Pope Francis
- Liturgy of the Hours
