Curriculum
A student can choose any major and still attend a graduate program in veterinary medicine. However, a substantial amount of Chemistry and Biology are required to apply to veterinary programs. Therefore, many students have an interest in science and often choose a science discipline as their major. Some of these include Biology, Chemistry, and Integrated Science.
Entrance requirements for schools of veterinary medicine vary; students should inform themselves of the courses required by the school which they plan to attend. It is recommend that a student meets with a pre-veterinary advisor to plan their coursework.
