Why study pre-physical therapy at a liberal arts college?

A liberal arts college has given me a well-rounded education. Liberal arts colleges   expose students to all areas of academics and experiences.

What makes the pre-physical therapy program at CSB/SJU unique?

The pre-physical therapy courses at CSB/SJU have been excellent preparation for the doctorate program. CSB/SJU provides smaller class sizes, vigorous course work and hands-on experience, which has taught me how to challenge myself and learn in new ways. At CSB/SJU, I have also had volunteer and work experiences that expose me to more areas than just academics.

What has your experience with the CSB/SJU pre-physical therapy program faculty been like?

I have had a great experience with the pre-physical therapy faculty. Don Fischer has been an outstanding professor and advisor. The faculty is energetic and friendly, and provides guidance and mentoring in all aspects of the field of physical therapy. They are also very available and helpful in making scheduling decisions.

What has been one of the greatest challenges you've faced?

My greatest challenge was the transition from high school to college level classes and labs. I had to learn new ways to study and prepare myself for classes and tests.

What advice do you have for students considering the pre-physical therapy program?

Be sure to use the physical therapy faculty! They are there to answer questions and help you.
