Youth Programs

Four children gather around a tub on the ground, inspecting its contents. They are surrounded by fallen leaves and grass, appearing engaged in an outdoor exploration or activity.

School Field Trips and Classroom Offerings

Designed to help meet state academic standards, our educational programs serve public, private, and home school preK-12 students through on-site field experiences and in-class curricula. At Outdoor U we strive to teach environmental awareness and knowledge while sparking meaningful, lifelong connections with the natural environments of Minnesota.

Summer Camps

Outdoor U professional staff and student naturalists team up to offer fun-filled environmental day camps for a variety of ages. These camps are a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore and enjoy the natural world around them. Don’t miss out – all of these camps tend to fill up quickly and often have waiting lists.

High School Partnerships

Outdoor U currently offers environmental and outdoor education courses at Saint John’s Prep School. Recently, we have collaborated on environmental service projects with Albany High School (tree planting) and Cathedral High School (loon nesting raft). We have also served as a host site for many internships and eagle scout projects.
