Rock climb and hike in Tettegouche State Park along the North Shore of Lake Superior. If you choose to go rock climbing for your Collegebound experience, you will enjoy Northern Minnesota during one of the most beautiful times of the year. Rock Climbing is a unique activity that presents students with ample opportunity to enjoy a physical and mental challenge while having a good time hanging out with other incoming students.
The North Shore of Lake Superior offers some very high class climbing with routes for all ability levels. Groups will explore waterfalls, scenic vistas, and swimming holes in and around Tettegouche State Park. Expect breathtaking views, healthy risk taking, camaraderie, and to learn a new skill in rock climbing.
This trip is for everyone, you don't need to have experience or equipment. The facilitators of your trip will bring everything that you need to have a wonderful time climbing on the North Shore. Male and female groups will climb and hike together, but camp separately in front country campsites.
Dates: August 17-24, 2016 (the week before orientation)
