Canoeing is the most popular Collegebound trip, in which groups will canoe and camp inside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) throughout their five day adventure. Located on the border of Minnesota and Canada, the BWCA is comprised of over one million acres of woods, lakes, and rivers. With 1,200 miles of canoe routes, the BWCA is one of America's wilderness gems.
Groups will spend the first night at Trails End Campground before entering BWCA the following day. Each day, groups will choose how far they care to venture in this amazing place. Groups will exit the wilderness and camp for the final night in Grand Marais. Participants should be comfortable around water. Expect peace, quiet, wildlife, and friendship.
Don't worry if you don't have the gear or experience! The facilitators will provide the canoes and outdoor equipment you will need for your trip. These trips are not co-ed, there is both a men's trip and a women's trip.
Dates: August 17-24, 2016 (the week before orientation)
