Army ROTC offers opportunities to earn a full scholarship to highly qualified Nursing Majors. Students who graduate with a BS in Nursing and complete Army ROTC are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the US Army Nursing Corps.

ROTC graduates can choose to:

  1. Serve part-time in the US Army Reserve or National Guard while pursuing civilian employment or furthering their education.
  2. Compete for a full -time position with assignment opportunities world-wide.

Army Nurses have many opportunities that are hard to find in civilian nursing careers. As an Army nurse, you’ll be exposed to an exceptionally wide variety of cases early in your career. Your time will be spent on patient care, not doing chores. You will even retain your seniority as you transfer hospitals.

Army Nurses are given many opportunities to continue their education. Specialty courses include critical care, obstetrical and gynecological, preoperative, psychiatric/mental health, emergency, community health, anesthetist, practitioner and administration.
