Policy on Transfer Students
Admission to the Nursing Major is highly competitive.
For the purposes of admission into the nursing major, a transfer student is one who meets all the following conditions:
- Graduated from high school
- Taken courses following high school graduation at another college or university
- Transferring credits from another college or university to meet pre-requisite courses for the nursing major, and
- Would not have completed two semesters of full-time study (at least 12 credits or greater) at CSB/SJU before the student would be accepted to the nursing major.
Qualifying transfer students will be considered for acceptance on a space available basis after qualifying students who have completed their prerequisite courses at CSB/SJU.
High school students graduating with advanced placement (AP) or postsecondary option credits (PSEO) are not considered transfer students as long as that student would have completed two semesters at CSB/SJU before the student would be accepted to the nursing major.
