Faculty chamber music ensemble Pastiche to perform at CSB

Pastiche

Pastiche is an ensemble comprised of acclaimed performers from the faculty of the joint music department of the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University.

Pastiche, the faculty chamber music ensemble from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 in Escher Auditorium, Benedicta Arts Center of the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn.

In the spirit of the ensemble's motto: It's always different - it's always enjoyable, the program will present a wide variety of music including Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata for Four Hands in D-major; "Diamond of Joy" for flute, cello and piano by David Evan Thomas; "Madam Songs" by Betty Roe; "Tutti I fior" from "Madame Butterfly" by Puccini; and a Duke Ellington medley.

CSB/SJU music faculty performing in this concert are:

  • Amy Grinsteiner, piano

  • Bruce Thornton, clarinet and flute
  • Edward Turley, piano

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and $7 for CSB/SJU students. They are available at the BAC box office, by calling 320/363-5777, through the Fine Arts Programming website or at the door the evening of the performance.
