One-day Leadership Conference to be Simulcast May 6 at SJU

The 16th annual Leadercast, the world's largest one-day leadership conference, will be simulcast for the first time at Saint John's University, Collegeville. 

The simulcast runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Pellegrene Auditorium, SJU. The doors open at 7 a.m. for the simulcast from the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Georgia. 

SJU is co-hosting the event with the College of Saint Benedict and St. Cloud State University.

The theme of this year's conference is "Architects of Tomorrow," focusing on visionary leaders who imagine and build a future that is rich in innovation, collaboration and full of hope. The conference will equip attendees to create their own visionary path.

Over 100,000 people are expected to see the event live in Georgia or at hundreds of other simulcast locations in more than 20 countries. Among the keynote speakers are: 

  • Andy Stanley, leadership author and communicator, and Kat Cole, group president of FOCUS Brands, Inc., who will speak on "Eyes to See Tomorrow" at 8 a.m.;
  • Nick Saban, head football coach at the University of Alabama, and James Brown, network broadcaster for CBS Sports and News, who will speak on "Voice to Share Tomorrow" at 10 a.m.;
  • Henry Cloud, acclaimed leadership expert, clinical psychologist and author, and Chris Barez-Brown, author and creativity guru, who will speak on "Heart to Inspire Tomorrow" at 12:30 p.m.;
  • Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, Inc., and Rorke Denver, Navy SEAL commander and author, who will speak on "Feet to Lead Tomorrow" at 2:15 p.m. 

Tickets are $89.99 for the simulcast event, and are available online or at the door. However, event organizers are encouraging participants to pre-register so they have an accurate crowd count. 

The registration fee includes rolls in the morning, snacks at breaks, lunch, coffee and beverages throughout the day, and a social hour with a drink ticket at Brother Willie's Pub, Sexton Commons, SJU, following the simulcast.
