Olivia Solano

Academics

April 9, 2021

For Olivia Solano, an impressive transcript is great, but “when I reflect on my time in academia, I remember more profoundly how it has helped me narrow down my passions and grow closer to myself and to the world around me.” Those passions have included academics, theater and her passion for service – specifically relating to homelessness. “As Benedictines and Christians, we must take care of our neighbors and not ignore them,” she said. Solano plans to apply her dual French and nutrition majors toward becoming a registered dietician with the language background to “create deeper connections with people through language and culture.” CSB/SJU Assistant Professor of French Ana Conboy predicts she’ll be successful: “She takes stressful situations in stride and comes out victorious.”
