Charlotte Rose Bjorn Frisk is a double-major in peace studies and environmental studies. And, as Derek Larson, chair of the Environmental Studies Department and Charlotte’s academic adviser sees it, “one of the strongest majors in our department and one of the most engaged students on our campuses.” After she attended the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change in Madrid, Assistant Professor Corrie Grosse said she, “produced high-quality original research on the gendered dimensions of ethnobotany in the context of climate change.” Her immediate plans for the future involve graduate school. “My goal is to continue the work I always have been doing, in novel and educated ways, to be a changemaker and a beacon of hope and peace,” she said.
