Anna Hammer has pushed herself to pursue academic and professional excellence. In her nursing major, that resulted in her earning an A in each of the four nursing fundamental courses. It also led her to lean into her clinical experiences. “I strove to gain the most experience possible by observing and participating in as many patient cares as possible,” she said. Hammer was inducted into the Kappa Phi at-large chapter of Sigma Theta Tau – the international nursing honor society. She served as a certified diabetes prevention lifestyle coach with the YMCA. On campus she has lived her Catholic values as an officer with Students for Life and as the leader of a Bible study for first-year Bennies.
