Abigail Braun has been an outstanding nursing student, rising to become the lead teaching assistant during her senior year. “Faculty trust and heavily rely on the lead teaching assistant in the laboratory and clinical settings,” explained Jodi Berndt, associate professor of nursing at CSB/SJU. “[Abigail] has excelled in this position and has been able to balance her coursework and responsibilities of this position with grace.” She has already combined her training in nursing with her passion for service and put them to good use: volunteering at the Family Birth Center at Methodist Hospital, volunteering as a victim’s advocate for the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center and working as a resident assistant in a memory care facility.
