The Saint John’s University Bookstore is hosting a book signing from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 13, in the campus bookstore. The event is free and open to the public.

Dave Durenberger, a 1955 graduate of SJU, will be signing copies of “When Republicans Were Progressive,” which he wrote with Lori Sturdevant, editorial writer and columnist at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune newspaper.

Durenberger is a retired three-term U.S. senator and the retired chair of the National Institute of Health Policy. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1978 and is the longest-serving Republican senator in Minnesota history.

Jon McGee, a 1984 graduate of SJU, will be signing copies of “Dear Parents: A Field Guide for College Preparation.” McGee is vice president for planning and public affairs for SJU and the College of Saint Benedict.

The book signing will take place in the SJU Bookstore, which is in Sexton Commons on the SJU campus in Collegeville. For more information, contact Ann Jonas at 320-363-3081 or 1-800-420-4509.
