ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- When it comes to spending quality time with the family, there are seldom enough hours in the day. The Benedictine Center for Lifelong Learning (BCLL) is offering two weekend get-aways focused on just that. The Mother/Daughter and Father/Son Weekend July 18-20 at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University offers two days of fun activities, emphasizing quality time and family spirituality and prayer.

Fathers and sons start off the weekend at SJU with mass and a pizza party, a garden tour and then a discussion on prayer and spirituality. The remainder of the weekend will be filled with interesting presentations, exploring the beauty of the Saint John's campus and much more.

Daughters and their mothers are invited to experience a series of enriching programs on the CSB campus. With the help of the Spirituality Center at Saint Benedict's Monastery, participants will enjoy sessions on family spirituality, a tour of the Art and Heritage Place and an educational stroll through plant and flower gardens. There will also be a multi-generational look at everyone's favorite young sleuth, Nancy Drew.

For a complete program schedule, visit http://www.csbsju.edu/bcll/upcoming/spiritual.htm. The cost for the Mother/Daughter Weekend or the Father/Son Weekend is $295, with a registration deadline of July 10. The College of Saint Benedict for women and Saint John's University for men are partners in liberal arts education, providing students the opportunity to benefit from the distinctions of not one, but two nationally recognized Catholic, Benedictine, residential undergraduate colleges. Together, the colleges challenge students to live balanced lives of learning, work, leadership and service in a coeducational environment.
