SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT STUDENTS

Piano

Fr. Bob Koopmann, OSB Piano Scholarship – CSB and SJU undergraduate students preparing for the baccalaureate degree, irrespective of their academic major.

Edward Turley Collaborative Piano Scholarship – CSB or SJU undergraduate student pianists at the sophomore, junior or senior level.  If there are no eligible students, this scholarship may be awarded to an incoming first-year student.  

Sylvester Family Scholarship – CSB student majoring in music with a focus on piano.  If there are no eligible students, the scholarship may be awarded to a CSB music major, and if needed, a music minor. 

Linda Louise Thompson Hortis Piano/Music Scholarship – CSB and SJU undergraduate students majoring in music with a focus on piano, with a preference given to students exhibiting an interest in teaching piano beyond college. 


Organ

Richard T. Proulx Scholarship – SJU undergraduate and Graduate music majors with a concentration in organ.  

Merritt C. Nequette and Pauline Lambert Scholarship – SJU undergraduate students majoring in organ and/or church music. If there are no eligible undergraduates, the scholarship may be awarded to a graduate student majoring in organ and/or church music.  If there are no candidates to fulfill either option, the scholarship may be given to a SJU student majoring in music or art.  

Dr. William Paul Muldoon Endowed Scholarship for Students Studying the Pipe Organ – CSB and SJU undergraduate students actively learning to play the pipe organ under the tutelage of a faculty member – a credit bearing experience. Students do not need to be music majors in order to be considered.  If there are no students who qualify, then it should be awarded to a music major studying piano or another instrument. 


Choral Music Education

Axel Theimer Choral/Vocal Scholarship – SJU undergraduate student majoring in choral/vocal music at the junior and senior level.

Axel Theimer Choral/Vocal Scholarship – CSB undergraduate student majoring in choral/vocal music at the junior and senior level.


Brass

Dale A. White Endowed Brass Scholarship – CSB and SJU undergraduate students majoring in music with an emphasis on a brass instrument.  If there are no eligible students, the scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in instrumental music, and if necessary, a music education major.
