Thomas J. Speckhard received his bachelor of arts in music from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and his Masters of Music in vocal performance at the University of Minnesota.  From 1988-1993, he toured extensively throughout the United States, South America, and Europe as a member of the United States Air Force Band "Singing Sergeants."  Thomas was a featured soloist on several tours and CDs as well as at the Desert Storm memorial service, which was broadcast live internationally.  As soloist with the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, he has performed in both Minneapolis and San Francisco.  He has recently performed with the internationally renowned Theatre de la Jeune Leune as well as with the Wilmington Symphony.  His opera rolls include Rudolfo, Nemorino, Candide, Remondado, Basilio, and Britten's Male Chorus.   Thomas has been a dedicated teacher since 1992, having previously taught at the College of St. Benedict - St. John's University, MacPhail Center for Music, Normandale College as well as privately in Alexandria, Virginia, and Sartell, Minnesota. He has also given Master classes in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Florida, and MacPhail Center for the Arts on vocal technique for soloist as well as choir members and for the aging voice.  Thomas has been the Stage director for the Opera Workshop program at The College of St. Benedict/St. John's University for the past three years and has been a freelance vocal performer of classical, gospel, and jazz music.
