Dr. Bradley Miller
The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bradley (Brad) Miller as conductor of the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir and SJU Men’s Chorus. In addition to leading these ensembles, his responsibilities will include leading the artistic team for the annual Christmas concerts and teaching choral conducting and other related courses. Dr. Miller will begin serving in this role in the fall of 2021 following the retirement of Dr. Axel Theimer.
Dr. Miller currently leads the choral program at the University of Minnesota Morris where he conducts the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and University Community Chorus. He also teaches courses in conducting, choral literature, vocal techniques, and musicianship, and is the faculty advisor for UMN Morris’s student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. Previous to this appointment, he served on the faculty of Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and as a high school choral director at Blaine High School in Blaine, Minnesota.
Dr. Miller earned a D.M.A. in choral conducting from The University of Arizona, an M.M. in choral conducting from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. in music education from Concordia College, Moorhead. He and his wife, Ana, have two sons, Nicholas and Lucas.
