Minnesota Immigrant Communities Study Tour (2007)

On April 14, 2007, students explored the issue of immigration in Minnesota. This day gave students interested in public policy the opportunity to see the political, economic, and cultural impact of the three largest immigrant populations on the state of Minnesota (Hispanic, Hmong, and Somali). They toured a Hmong flea market, non-profits and other organizations which serve or employ the communities, immigrant-owned small businesses, and interaction with relevant government institutions.
