Maggie Eli: Marketing Fellow
In true Bennie fashion, Maggie Eli is out to prove she can manage anything.
Since beginning her marketing fellowship in the Office of Marketing and Communication, the 2017 Saint Ben’s grad has helped out in some project management areas and managed to make herself instantly indispensable with her graphic design skills. But when the sun goes down and the lights come on in Freeport, Maggie keeps going as the manager of her men’s fast-pitch softball team. While she’s at it, she manages to elicit a few wry grimaces when she takes the field to pitch.
“Technically it’s a men’s league,” she acknowledges, “but I enjoy seeing the look on the guys’ faces when I get them swinging hard on my changeup.”
Maggie’s primary role is graphic design. As a student, she majored in art, with emphasis on book art and computer art, and added a communication major. She works in both print and online design for projects serving a spectrum of internal and external communication needs for clients on both campuses.
“One of the best parts of my job is seeing a project – one where we have carefully worked out everything down to the last detail – finally printed and on my desk,” she smiles. “Remembering the many steps it took to get to that point makes me appreciate the final product so much more.”
