Rooted in Catholic, Benedictine values, this annual award recognizes the work of up to three distinguished SJU undergraduates who demonstrate the following:
· Personal commitment to service which builds or extends community through Benedictine values and/or
· Personal commitment to service which promotes justice through one or more of the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching
· Ability to collaborate or work with others so as to accomplish a greater good
· Thoughtful reflection about service in light of Benedictine Values and/or Catholic Social Teaching
Faculty, staff, and current undergraduate students may nominate a sophomore, junior, or senior at SJU. This recognition includes an award of $2,000, which is given to each award recipient at the annual Banquet on Tuesday, Apr. 29.
Please submit nominations by Monday, Feb. 10, 2025. Nominees will be electronically notified and invited to apply for the award.
