Attention Faculty

January 14, 2025 • 2 min read

The Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholars (OURS) is seeking a Natural Science representative to complete a current 3-year term (2023-2026) on the Undergraduate Research Faculty Advisory Committee (URFAC). The URFAC exists to provide oversight, support, and visioning for all student/faculty collaborative undergraduate research and creative work at Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s.

The committee is structured to have representation from each division to ensure breadth and depth of expertise in research and scholarship in each academic area.

The URFAC meets 1-2 times per month for about one hour during the academic year; no meetings over the summer months. All meetings are on Zoom and are scheduled around committee member availability. The commitment is reasonable, and the work is impactful for students, faculty mentors, and the research community on campus.

Those interested in serving, should submit:

1) Current curriculum vitae

2) Letter of intent (3/4-page limit) that includes:

  • Evidence of commitment to and/or interest in scholarly/creative work and mentorship
  • Why you are interested in serving on URFAC

Applicants should be able to:

  • Commit to the outlined term of service (renewable by application)
  • Attendance at URFAC meetings

Submit materials through the URFAC Application on forms manager

Application deadline: Monday, January 27 at 11:59 p.m.
