7:00-8:30 p.m.: MPR’s “A Writer’s View with Nick Flynn”: “Outcasts”

8:30-11:00 p.m.: Movie in O'Connell's

 

Friday, July 8

9:00-10:30 a.m.: Reading by the Lake with Nick Flynn

10:30-11:00 a.m.: Break/Refreshment

11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Choice of sessions:

Introductory Discussion with Victoria Redel

Or, tour of HMML, Bible Project and Arca Artium

12:00-1:30 p.m.: Lunch – at Saint John's University, by the lake

1:30-3:00 p.m.: Choice of activities: Reading by Bart Schneider

Or, canoeing, biking, swimming, golf

Or, tour of HMML, Bible Project, Arca Artium

3:00-3:30 p.m.: Break/Refreshment

3:30-5:00 p.m.: Graywolf Press director Fiona McCrae on note-worthy new prose writers and

Graywolf Editor Jeff Shotts on new poets; they also will take questions on publishing,

small presses and reading

5:00-6:00 p.m.: Free Time

or, tour of Welle Book Arts Studio

6:00-7:00 p.m.: Dinner

7:00-8:30 p.m.: Reading by Charles Baxter and Victoria Redel

9:00-10:30 p.m.: Screening of Loverboy

 

Saturday, July 9

8:00-9:00 a.m.: Breakfast

9:00-10:30 a.m.: Q&A/Discussion with Charles Baxter

10:30-11:30 a.m.: Conclusion/Check Out

After 11:30 Attendees are welcome to continue to use our facilities for the day and may go swimming, biking, play tennis, etc. We’re also delighted to set up accommodations for another night’s stay at the same low conference rate. We can also help arrange for tours of literary sites in the Twin Cities.
