Student and Faculty Successes

TianaHi! My name is Tiana Johnson, and I am a junior here at St. Ben’s. I am a Political Science Major and Chinese Minor. Here at St. Ben’s I am involved in Track and Field, SAAC, and ROTC. This past summer I went to Taiwan to continue my Chinese learning journey through a ROTC related program called Project GO, for future officers of the United States military. However, this summer I will be doing something a little bit different. This fall I applied for internships that will help me advance in my future military career relating to my major and minor. I am very excited to say that I was given a JAG internship and I will be spending roughly four weeks in Vicenza Italy at Caserma Ederle which is the US military base there. I will be learning about the United States and Military Law thanks to my Political Science and Chinese background. I am very grateful for the support that I have gotten from my ROTC Cadre and program- The Fighting Saints Battalion- as well as my own professor, Sophia Geng, who all wrote me letters of recommendations. I am very excited for this new journey ahead of me, and I am very eager to learn about the law!
