Work Continuity During Closure

Remote access is available during the campus closure to ensure work can continue. Your network password has been set so it won't expire during the closure.

Access Campus Resources from Home

If you have a campus-owned laptop, take your laptop home. You can access network resources from home using VPN. This enables your campus-owned computer to access the same network resources as you would on campus (home directory (M: drive), department share (O: drive), Banner, print to network printer, etc.). If you don't have a campus-owned laptop, take your PC desktop computer home. If you have a Mac Desktop, please contact the Help Desk at (320) 363-2228 for alternative options.

  1. Before unhooking your computer, please shut the machine down all the way, power it back up, and logon to the machine. This is necessary to make sure all the required settings are in place before you leave campus.
  2. Pack up your computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, all the cables attached to each of them, and the blue ethernet cable. A video showing how to disconnect and re-connect your computer can help if you're unsure about what cable goes where.


You can choose to forward your calls from your office phone to another phone using call forwarding. Or, use voicemail instructions to check your voicemail remotely.


Use OneDrive ( online training) to share and collaborate on documents with colleagues.


Use Teams to collaborate with your team remotely. You can chat, meet online, call, and share files, all in one place.

Zoom Video Conferencing

Meet online from your computer using Zoom. Meeting options include video conferencing, screen sharing, recording, and live streaming ( Zoom Help). This is adaptable for various sizes of groups.
