Integrations Curriculum

Assessment & Portfolium

When your students take a course that serves learning outcomes in the Integrations Curriculum, there are two things that need to happen. The first is that faculty need to submit student work that can be assessed for those learning outcomes. The second is that students need to place artifacts into Portfolium so that they have them to use later in Learning Integrations, as well as to curate a Portfolio for future employers or grad schools. Fortunately, for most of you, one quick adjustment to your Canvas assignments will do both.

If you follow these instructions and link your Canvas assignments to Portfolium, neither you nor your students will have to do anything more to get materials into Portfolium. For a quick tutorial on how do do this, you can watch this video. Or, if you prefer, there are written instructions on linking a Canvas assignment to Portfolium here.

The only instance in which this set-up will not work is if you use a Canvas rubric to grade assignments. In that case you will need to either create a duplicate Canvas assignment that is linked to Portfolium or have your students submit their materials directly to Portfolium themselves (this step is easy for students, but there is no easy way for you to monitor it).

Here is a list of what materials need to go into Portfolium for each class:
