Quick Bio:

I am the youngest of 5 and the only daughter and the only granddaughter on my dad's side of the family. I grew up in the beautiful and diverse city of Saint Paul in Minnesota! I traditional Hmong dance at the age of 9 and competed at the Hmong New Year in MN! I graduated from Central High School. My brother also attended CSBSJU, that is how I learned of Saint Ben's and Saint John's. I love to travel and learn about other cultures and enjoy their delicious food! My life mission is to create health equity for all so that they can live their best life to do what they can do to contribute to their communities!

What does the phrase "intercultural competency" mean to you?

To understand what it means to be intercultural competent is to be able to behave and communicate with others effectively of an intercultural background by being knowledgeable of them and have the skills and attitude to work with them.

What advice would you like to give to first-year students?

Like the amazing President Hinton has said "Think Critically, Lead Courageously, and Advocate Passionately." Reflect on how you can exemplify this in your four years at CSBSJU!

What advice would you like to give to continuing students?

Live out your values in all that you do! Enjoy the moment and cherish those who are around you! Time flies so male the most of it!
