Program: London Fall/Spring Semester
Major: Global Business Leadership
Minor: Accounting & Finance
Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you decide on this program?
I was really interested in a program that offered an internship and London was the program that caught my eye the most.
Briefly describe a specific cultural experience you had on your trip that made a lasting impression.
London is such an international city that I was able to experience so many different cultures in different sectors of the city.
Describe your overall study abroad experience.
It was an experience I would not trade for anything. I learned so much and enjoyed my internship every single day. I think about going back at least once a week and I can’t wait to plan my next trip there.
Based on your experiences abroad, what are some of the benefits of spending a semester abroad? How has studying abroad contributed to your personal, academic, and professional development?
Being a Global Business major, I think it was important for me to experience working in a different culture. I loved being there for a full semester because I was able to get over the initial culture shock and feel like I was more immersed in the new city by the time I left.
What advice can you offer for CSB/SJU students who are considering or planning to study abroad?
Do it. It was the best decision I ever made. Even if you play a sport or your major does not allow you to leave for a full semester, look into short term programs- the school does a really great job at finding something for everyone.
