Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you decide on this program?

I liked the idea of going to two countries and I grew up having a love for mythology and history. I also loved the classes and took all of them.

Briefly describe a specific cultural experience you had on your trip that made a lasting impression.

Getting to know locals on a personal level was really impactful. I also went to a music concert in Greece that was really fun and I felt connected with everyone from around the world even though I couldn't understand the lyrics.

Describe your overall study abroad experience.

It was so rewarding and I loved watching myself and everyone around me grow and change for the better. It pushed me and was life changing. I recommend to everyone.

Based on your experiences abroad, what are some of the benefits of spending a semester abroad? How has studying abroad contributed to your personal, academic, and professional development?

I am much more confident in myself and have gain so many more friends. I learned so much about the world and it altered my view of America. I can see my future job opportunities being expanded on and my interests have grown.

What advice can you offer for CSB/SJU students who are considering or planning to study abroad?

I have a list of 50 tips I've made. My top tip is to do it because you won't regret it. Also choose a program that will challenge you and don't choose one just because your friends are on it.
