The summer program in Valladolid, Spain, is mainly intended for students who are looking to earn credit towards their global language requirement while being completely immersed in the Spanish culture. Participants live with Spanish families for the entire duration of the four week program. The program includes visits to historical cities such as Salamanca and Segovia, visits to museums and castles (Coca and Penafiel), among others, and some social events such as a welcome reception and a farewell dinner.
Program Costs & Financial Considerations
During a summer program abroad, CSB+SJU students will pay the cost of the required 4 CSB+SJU credits at the reduced summer tuition rate. In addition, all students studying abroad will pay an Education Abroad Program Fee. All program fee information is found in the “Financing your Experience-Short-term” brochure found on the Financing Study Abroad website. You will also find more information about what is included and not included in the program fee on the CSBSJU-Global Portal.
Students should plan early for a successful study abroad experience. Financial aid and scholarships may be available to help with program costs, but must be searched out well in advance.
Accommodations
Students stay 2 to a family in homestays and are provided with 3 meals a day.
