Course Name: International Internship
Course Number: DEPT 397
Credit Number: 1-4 credits
Designation: Experiential Learning (EL)
Participants are required to take this internship for at least 1 credit, but can earn up to 4 credits at the summer rate. The Experience and Professional Development Office can assist with this process.
On this program, students will have the opportunity to intern at one of the many placement sites offered by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Summer Internships. Students will also be able to learn about the rich history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Students will be placed at a non-governmental or community-based organizations in Mostar. In the past, students have worked with organizations such as Nesto Vise, Alturist, and American Corner.
Program Cost & Financial Considerations
During a summer program abroad, CSB/SJU students will pay the cost of the required 1-4 CSB/SJU credit(s) at the reduced summer tuition rate. In addition, all students studying abroad will pay and Education Abroad Program Fee. Find Program Fee in formation on the CSB/SJU Global Portal.
If accepted in the Global Fellowship Program, a $1,000 Fellowship award is applied to your program. Please note, Global Fellows are not eligible for the CSB global scholarship, but are eligible for other external scholarships.
While on this program, you will stay in apartment style housing with other CSB/SJU program participants. Housing includes laundry facilities, internet access, and is conveniently located near public transportation and local markets.
