Short-Term Study Abroad Programs

CSB+SJU sponsors a large variety of short-term study abroad program options. Short term program types are summer, embedded, or global fellowship internship program. All these programs are for credit and take place over the academic year or summer and range from one to eight weeks in length. The programs change every year depending on faculty areas of interest.

Summer Programs:
A summer study abroad program is a credit-bearing course that occurs after the spring semester. These programs typically start in mid to late May. Programs vary in length from 2-4 weeks. Students pay summer tuition plus a program fee. Program offerings change from year to year.

Embedded Courses:
An embedded course is a 2 to 4 credit course that students can take as part of their semester course offerings. As part of the course, students will have an international field component either during the semester or after the semester ends. Student pay a program fee for the international component of the course. Programs vary in length from 1-4 weeks.Course offerings change from year to year.

Global Fellowship Programs:
The Global Fellowship Program is credit-bearing international internship program occurring during the summer for 8 weeks.
