The Austria program will not be offered Fall of 2021; it will next be offered Fall of 2022.
Study abroad amidst mountains and Mozart on CSB/SJU’s longest running program! Live and study in Salzburg, Austria, a city of 150,000 residents. Over the course of the semester you will study German language and also explore European history, culture, art, and politics through courses (taught in English), visits to local museums and historical sites, and program related excursions throughout Austria.
Explore complete Austria-Salzburg Program details on the CSBSJU-Global Portal.
German language instruction is an integral part of the academic program in Salzburg. In addition to German language and grammar, courses taught in English in art history, political science and philosophy are offered. All courses are offered to only CSB/SJU students.
For course descriptions, refer to the CSBSJU-Global Portal.
Participants live in student dormitories with other international students. These two person rooms offer a private bathroom, kitchen facilities, and basic amenities, including internet.
During a semester abroad, CSB/SJU students pay the same tuition as if on campus. Instead of paying CSB/SJU Housing and Meal Plan, all students studying abroad pay an Education Abroad Program Fee. Find Program Fee information on the CSBSJU-Global Portal.
Please note: To obtain the required visa to study on this program you will need to travel to an Austrian Consulate in the US for visa processing (most commonly, Chicago). This is not included in your program fee. Further information about dates and process will be provided by CGE after your acceptance to the program.
