Minoring in Gender Studies equips students with the analytical and activist skills necessary to become agents of change regarding justice in their local and international communities. It has given our alumni the knowledge needed to be successful in careers in law, marketing, communications, politics, counseling, and more. Being aware of gender and its intersectionality with race, class, sexuality and gender identity will make you a more informed citizen and more marketable in your chosen profession.

The Gender Studies Department consists of over 30 professors from many different departments to create an interdisciplinary education. Students can choose courses from Art, Communication, Economics, English, Environmental Studies, Hispanic Studies, History, Honors, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Theology.
