Performance Safety Guidelines @ CSB/SJU

It is with great gratitude and excitement that we welcome you back to the magic of LIVE performances this season!
We want to ensure that we experience and celebrate live performances in person with you all year.

Beginning March 18, 2022, we are altering our COVID-19 safety policy to the following:

  • Audiences in all CSB/SJU indoor performance venues will no longer be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result.
  • Audiences are strongly encouraged to mask in the auditorium, however, masking will not be required
  • Please stay home if you have symptoms or a positive test. If your event is ticketed, please contact the box office at 320-363-5777 to exchange your tickets, receive a refund, or make a donation.
  • This policy may be amended if required by touring artists or if our community is at a high risk level based on CDC county data. In this event, guidelines and/or changes will be communicated via email to all ticket holders and updated on this site.

CSB/SJU Students: Always bring your campus ID for the easiest entry to performances.

Ticketing: For ticketed events, we encourage you to purchase your tickets online before you arrive at www.csbsju.edu/wow, and to use our new digital ticket process.  You can now choose to have your ticket available on your phone or you may print your own ticket at home to be scanned at the venue.

Concessions: Food and Beverages will not be available at this time for purchase at Fine Arts Series events. On campus dining is open and available. Guests may remove their mask while eating or drinking.

      Performers and/or speakers:

      1. Performers and/or speakers and all stage personnel will be strongly encouraged to wear masks backstage during all pre and post show activities.
      2. Performers/speakers are strongly encouraged to have full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test result before a performance at CSB/SJU. However, masks may be removed during performances on stage without documentation of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test result.
      3. Unmasked performers/speakers will be distanced from the audience based on the prevailing industry standard, currently at 10’.

      Student artists and technical crew:

Rehearsal and shop hours for music and theater ensembles will follow masking expectations at the discretion of the responsible faculty or staff member.

Ventilation/Air Quality: CSB/SJU Facilities have been proactive and continue to work with MDH and MNOSHA regarding ventilation.

      • CSB/SJU Facilities has verified that our buildings meet regulatory requirements.
      • SBH air handling units have been outfitted with MERV 11 filter media and BAC air handling units have been outfitted with MERV 8 filter media.
      • Systems have been adjusted to utilize as much outside air as possible, and operationally adjusted to run for longer periods of time to effectively purge buildings daily of aerosols.
      • At the Stephen B Humphrey, ventilation is updated with an ionization system that continuously cleans the air.

Visit CSB/SJU’s COVID-19 Website for extended campus information about our response to COVID-19 in our community. https://www.csbsju.edu/covid-19
