Indian Ink: Kiss the Fish
Experience the mischievous wit and artful storytelling of Indian Ink Theatre Company in this play that explores the universal themes of how to sustain our resources and traditions while considering the needs and the legacy we leave for the next generation. The company blends western theatrical traditions with eastern flavours (like its hand-carved Balinese masks) and has been critically acclaimed for its use of live music, heightened theatricality, humour, pathos and great storytelling.
Kiss the Fish is based on a true story of a fully-built luxury resort that was all ready to receive guests but whose only inhabitants are now the island's monkeys after the local population opted to preserve their way of life.
"Kiss the Fish is the essence of what theatre is or, at its best, what theatre can be and the surprise of it is joyous and almost overwhelming." - Theatreview
