Environmental Studies major and Biology minor
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Hunting or fishing.
Why did you decide to major in Environmental Studies?
To become more aware of the environment and the issues it is currently facing.
What environmental issue are you most passionate about?
Land conservation. I am most interested in this because there are many species that are suffering and running out of room, so I would like these to be able to be preserved for the future.
What is your favorite Environmental Studies class and why?
Environmental history 360 with Derek Larson. This was my favorite course because it gave a recap of the environmental impacts that Americans specifically have had on the environment, and how that shaped today along with the future.
What was the focus of your research for ENVR 320? What were your findings?
Wind turbine recycling.
What advice do you have for first year students and majors?
Take a wide range of environmental courses to find what fits you best, and what avenue you want to pursue for your future career.
