Call for Student Writing Partner for MN Road Map for Sustainability and Climate Education
Professors Corrie Grosse and Kyhl Lyndgaard, Environmental Studies
January 2026-December 2027
$2550
The MN non-profit Climate Generation, who advances climate change education won a MN state grant to create a MN Roadmap for Sustainability and Climate Education. We are writing partners on the project. Writing partners from universities are encouraged to designate a student who works with them throughout the 2-year commitment period of the grant. The student writing partner will receive $2550 (taxable income) for this work. The position starts in January 2026 and goes through Dec 2027, though the last in-person MN commitment is likely summer 2027. In addition to zoom meetings and writing, the student must attend 2 in-person retreats likely held on weekends in January and August 2026 and a 3-hr community convening held in the first half of 2027 (there will be multiple options for the convening, so the student can choose one that fits their schedule).
We seek a first- or second-year student who is passionate about climate justice, education, and an excellent writer and responsible communicator. While we will prioritize first and second-years, we will also consider third year students who are on campus during the project kickoff, spring 2026. First or second-years who are studying abroad their junior year will be considered.
Please see a more detailed list of responsibilities below and reach out to Corrie or Kyhl with any questions. [email protected] , [email protected]
If this sounds like something you would love to do and can commit to, please complete the application by Monday November 10th at noon CST. If you want to get to know us or ask any questions, Corrie can zoom with you (Corrie is in Argentina studying abroad this semester) and Kyhl is on campus. Just reach out!
Thank you!
