Stash It, Don't Trash It! & The BIG Sale
May 1st through May 13th, 2017.
As the semester nears its end, consider partaking in a proud College of Saint Benedict tradition. The Department of Residential Life & Housing and the Office of Sustainability collaborate to host the annual Stash It, Don't Trash It Initiative which collects items for the Catholic Charities Drive and The Big Sale. Consider donating to one or both of these causes.
What is it?
- Catholic Charities is a local social service agency that supplies people in need with emergency food, clothing, and household resources. Our drive gives you the opportunity to donate to people in need and also helps make more room for packing up your personal belongings.
- The Big Sale is an initiative to promote the reduction of waste by collecting your gently used furniture, electronics, or other appliances. Watch your items come full circle at The Big Sale during move-in.
- When is it? The Catholic Charities Drive and The Big Sale collections will run April 25th through May 7th.
Spring: Students donate unwanted items to the Office of Sustainability for Stash It, Don't Trash it! These items are stored over the summer.
Fall: The Office of Sustainability coordinates the BIG Sale for students to purchase items at extremely affordable prices.
