Intentional Living Communities
Located in Aurora Hall
Who’s it for? Incoming first year CSB students who are interested in learning how to live in an ecologically sound, socially just, and economically viable community now and in the future! All majors and academic interests are welcome to join this floor.
What will we do? Students in this ILC will live together on a shared floor, participate in faculty- and staff-sponsored events specifically for the community, including social activities, workshops, service opportunities, speakers, and more. Some of these activities may include:
- Community meals.
- Trips to local sustainable businesses and organizations.
- Group service projects on campus and in St. Joseph/St. Cloud.
- Participation in Week of Sustainability events.
- Education and outreach about sustainability to the larger campus community.
Community members will integrate sustainable practices into their daily lives through participation in the BENNIEficial room program, learn about sustainability at CSB|SJU and in the community, and develop a community-focused, personal definition of sustainability.
I’m interested! How do I sign up?
Space is limited, so make sure you indicate your interest by adding your name to the waiting list on the housing portal by clicking on the “Waiting Lists for First Year Intentional Communities Housing.”
