Fall Move-In Information
Please refer to the information provided below when making your move in plans. If there is a question not answered here, please feel free to contact the Residential Life Office!
When can I move in?
All returning students living in Lottie, Margretta, Brian, the campus apartments and the campus houses return to campus on Saturday, August 29th or Sunday, August 30th. Check-in is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
We ask that you do not arrive before August 29th unless circumstances truly demand otherwise. Please refer to the Early Arrival Information for details.
Where do I get my keys?
Keys will be available in the office for your building/area during the hours listed below:
August 29th - 30th - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Margretta & Brian Hall: RD Office, Brian Hall
Lottie: RD Office, Lottie Hall
East Apartments (Centennial Commons, College Avenue, Luetmer, McDonald, Wirth and Zierden): Centennial Commons Idzerda Community Center
West Apartments and all Campus Houses: RD Office, Lower Level of Dominica
You will be asked to unload your belongings and then move your vehicle to a parking lot so that others are able to unload their vehicle.
If you arrive outside of the hours listed above, your keys will be available for pick up at the Mary Commons Information Desk.
Returning Students should plan to move in on Saturday and Sunday, August 29th and 30th, 2020.
If there is an extenuating circumstance and you need to arrive prior to these dates, please submit a request to arrive early. This request must be submitted NO LATER than August 1st! We cannot make any additional early arrival arrangements after that date. You will receive an email response from us letting you know the status of your request and appropriate check-in details.
Early return requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are generally approved due to distance from campus (coming from four or more hours away), athletics, or other extenuating circumstances. You are STRONGLY discouraged from arriving to campus prior to Saturday, August 29th as services such as food services, facilities in the Haehn Campus Center, transportation and other amenities will be very limited.
Note that while coaches and supervisors have already notified Residential Life of students needing to arrive early for intercollegiate athletics or on-campus employment, ALL students needing to return to campus prior to August 24th must submit an Early Arrival Request form. This form can be found on the CSB/SJU Housing Portal.
