1st & 2nd year cohort students living in Residence Halls Plan

Continuous Meal Plan

Continuous Meal Pass - This plan allows meal passes to be used hourly at Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory 7 days a week during designated operating hours. A one-hour reuse delay is placed on continuous meal passes. Additional entries before the one-hour reuse delay can be purchased with bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only.

Additional Daily Meal - This plan includes one meal per day that can be used at the retail operations of McGlynn's or Sexton for one designated combo meal.

Bucks – This plan includes 150 bucks per semester that can be used at any of the dining locations.

Guest Passes - Ideal for visiting family and friends, this plan includes 4 complimentary guest passes per semester that can be used at Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory. 

Any dining passes or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

Cost: $3,032.00/semester

 

3rd & 4th year cohort students living in Residence Halls Meal Plans

Juniors & Seniors students living in a residence hall will have the option to select one of the following plans:

Continuous Meal Plan

Bennie Meal Plan

The Bennie Meal Plan allows students to use 10 individual meals per week. Meals can be used at Gorecki Dining Center, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton during designated operating hours. Meals used at retail operations can be used for designated combo meals. Meals will reset each Wednesday morning. Unused meals at time of reset are non-refundable and do not carry forward to the next week. The Bennie Meal Plan also includes 325 bucks per semester that can be used at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00. Additional meals at the Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory may be purchased for a discounted rate using dining bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

Cost: $2,377.00/semester

Students not living in a residence hall may choose one of the following plans:

Continuous Meal Plan

125 Meal Plan

The 125 Meal Plan allows students to use 125 meals per semester (average 7-8 meals per week). Meals can be used at Gorecki Dining Center, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton during designated operating hours. Meals at retail operations can be used for designated combo meals. This plan also includes 125 bucks per semester that can be used at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00.  Additional meals at the Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory may be purchased at a discounted rate using bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

Cost: $1,745.00/semester

75 Meal Plan

The 75 Meal Plan allows students to use 75 meals per semester (average 4-5 meals per week). Meals can be used at the Gorecki Dining Center, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton during designated operating hours. Meals at retail operations can be used for designated combo meals.  This plan also includes 125 bucks per semester that can be used at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00.  Additional meals at the Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory may be purchased for a discount rate using dining bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

50 Meal Plan

The 50 Meal Plan allows students to use 50 meals per semester (average 3 meals per week). Meals can be used at the Gorecki Dining Center, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton during designated operating hours. Meals at retail operations can be used for designated combo meals. This plan also includes 125 bucks per semester that can be used at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00. Additional meals at the Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory may be purchased for a discount rate using dining bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

25 Meal Plan

The 25 Meal Plan allows students to use 25 meals per semester (average 1-2 meals per week). Meals can be used at the Gorecki Dining Center, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton during designated operating hours. Meals at retail operations can be used for designated combo meals.  This plan also includes 125 bucks per semester that can be used at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00. Additional meals at the Gorecki Dining Center or the Refectory may be purchased for a discount rate using dining bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals or bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

Cost: $494.00/semester

Bucks Plan

The Bucks plan allows students to use bucks at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operations during designated operating hours. The Gorecki Dining Center and the Refectory offer a discounted meal rate when using bucks. Gorecki Dining Center and Refectory are designated for dine in only. The start of this plan will consist of 200 bucks with the option to add additional bucks at any time. Each buck is equivalent to $1.00. Additional bucks may be purchased in increments of $25.00. Meals are not included in this plan. Bucks remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

Cost: $200.00/semester

No Plan

Students living in an apartment or off campus have the option to select “No Plan”.

Questions & Answers

Do I have to choose a Meal Plan?

If you are a First or Second Year cohort student living in a residence hall, your meal plan has already been setup for you. You have been setup for the "Continuous Meal Plan"

If you are a Third Year or beyond year cohort student living in a residence hall, your meal plan has been defaulted to the "Continuous Meal Plan".  You have the option to change to the "Bennie Meal Plan". To select this alternate plan, log in to the housing portal, follow the link and submit your request.  If you do not select this alternate meal plan, you will be billed for the "Continuous Meal Plan".

If you are student living in an apartment, your meal plan has been defaulted to the "Bennie Meal Plan". You may select an alternative meal plan, including "No Plan" if you desire.  To select an alternate plan, log in to the housing portal, follow the link and submit your request.  If you do not select an alternate meal plan, you will be billed for the "Bennie Meal Plan".

If you are a student living off campus, your meal plan has been defaulted to "No Plan".  You may choose a meal plan or remain on “No Plan”. To select an alternate plan, log in to the housing portal, follow the link and submit your request.  If you do not select an alternate meal plan, you will be billed for "No Plan".

Can I change my Meal Plan?

Once you have selected an apartment or off campus meal plan, you are able to make a change to your selection thru the 10th academic day of the semester.  
You can add a meal plan at any time throughout the semester. After the 10th academic day of the semester, all plan purchases must be paid with cash, check, or credit card.

Bucks

Where can I use Bucks?
Bucks can be used at any dining facility on either campus. You can use bucks to purchase a meal, grab and go items or retail food items.

What if I run out of Bucks?
Bucks can be added to any meal plan account.

How many Bucks can I add?
Bucks can be added in increments of $25, $50, $100 or $200

How do I add Bucks?
You can add bucks online by accessing the Get Funds Link https://get.cbord.com/csbsju/full/prelogin.php on the Culinary Services website.

Card Usage -Meals

Can I share my Meals?
If you are on a “Continuous Pass Meal Plan”, meals are to be used by the card holder only. 
Your plan has additional guest passes to use for family/friends. Bucks can also be used for additional meals.
If you are on an “Apartment Plan”, you may use meals for any guest you choose.

How do I use Meals on the Bennie Meal Plan or Apartment Plan? 
You may use meals at Gorecki Dining, the Refectory, McGlynn's or Sexton. When using at McGlynn's or Sexton, you are allowed to purchase a designated combo meal as identified on the menu. Meals used at McGlynn's or Sexton are not valid for purchases of retail food items, health & beauty items, or convenience store items.

How do I purchase items at McGlynn's or Sexton? 
You may purchase retail food items, health & beauty items and convenience store items at McGlynn's, or Sexton with bucks or by paying cash/check/credit card.

Card Usage - Charging

Can I charge my meal plan to my Student Account?
The initial purchase of your meal plan may be charged to your Student Account until the 10th day of classes at the beginning of each semester, also referred to as the 10th academic day of the semester.

Can I charge food purchases?
You are able to use a credit or debit card to purchase meals or food items at any CSB Culinary or SJU Dining operation on either campus.

Card Usage - Policies

Do I need my ID to diner or purchase items?
You must have your personal campus ID with you at any time you choose to use your meal account.

What if I know my number, can you key in my code?
All meal accounts must be accessed by swiping the individual's cards at the cash register. 
To protect the safety of your account, we are unable to access an account with a verbal request.

What if I lose my ID card?
You should report a lost card to CSB Security IMMEDIATELY! Call x5000 from any campus phone or dial 320-363-5000.

Can my friend/family member use my card?
The cardholder must be the person pictured on the ID card. You may use your account to buy a meal for a friend/family member, when you are present to make that purchase.

To protect the safety of your account and maintain our services for all students, employees and guests we practice the following policies:

Would the cashier ever not return my card?
~If a card is presented to make a purchase by someone other than the cardholder pictured on the ID Card, the card will be kept by the cashier and turned in to CSB Security.
~If a card is presented to make a purchase and is identified as a card that has been reported LOST or INVALID in the system, the card will be kept by the cashier and turned in to CSB Security.

What if my card gets damaged?
~If the card is bent or broken and could potentially cause damage to the Micros reader upon swiping in the register, the cardholder will be notified to replace the damaged card. Failure to replace the damaged card could result in the card holder's account being placed on an “Hold” status until a replacement card is obtained.
