We require drivers to be 20 years of age or older as of January 4th, 2019 for winter trips and March 1st, 2019 for spring trips, have a valid driver's license and be an acceptable driver according to the description below. Considering that, would you be willing to take the defensive driving course and drive a van during your ABE trip? (If you answer "no," skip the next question.)
To all possible drivers:
This is to inform you that the ABE program, in conjunction with CSB Security, will be running Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) checks on all possible drivers to determine driver eligibility. The MVR checks will be run both one month and one week prior to the ABE departures. Please note the following restrictions:

Driver info:
Due to the number of applications we receive each year, we cannot guarantee an interview with the Co-Leaders of any one particular trip. Knowing your top 3 choices, all other trip interests, and reading about your interest in the program and interest in specific trips helps us determine which trip to offer you an interview for.

Many factors go into shaping and forming the trips. Many of these factors are not subjective, but rather based on general logistical questions. Will we have enough drivers? Do we have representation from each class on the trip? How many spots are on the trip compared to the number of applicants? How many interviews are our Co-Leaders reasonably being asked to facilitate? Do we have at least one fluent language speaker on certain trips? These are just a few examples of some of the questions we have to sort through before offering interviews for a trip. Everyone who returns from an ABE trip, regardless of destination, believes they were on 'the best' trip, so if you don't get your first trip don't be disappointed. You are still going to have a fantastic experience with a wonderful group of peers. Thank you for your understanding.

We try our best to accommodate your top choices, but that's not always possible. Please indicate all of your other interests.
