Every one who calls Saint Ben's their alma mater is part of a storied past.
Today, our school is a Tier 1 liberal arts college, the top-ranked Catholic college for women in the country, the nation's only Benedictine college for women, one of the top three liberal arts colleges recognized for innovation and continuous improvement, and the top ranked college for students who participate in semester-long study abroad. Saint Ben's has been recognized for its commitment to civic engagement and undergraduate research. And, most recently, CSB was named on President Obama's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction -- one of only 2 Minnesota schools with that honor.
All CSB alumnae have experienced first hand the exceptional living and learning that occurs at Saint Ben's. All of us have been a part of Saint Ben's first 100 years, which we will celebrate throughout 2013. And, all of us stand on the shoulders of the amazing women who came before us to further push the envelope, advocate for change, and plan for the ever-evolving needs of our world.
For nearly 100 years, the bold vision of our founding Sisters has propelled CSB to excellence. Now, it's our turn. As alumnae, we are the sisterhood that will honor, carry, and expand the legacy of our founding order for the next 100 years. This is our time. This is our moment.
On behalf of the alumnae board, I invite you to make history, Saint Ben's history. Reconnect with a friend or classmate, share a Bennie story with a special girl, and visit Saint Ben's website for campus updates, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to show your support. Keep the college current on your whereabouts and professional involvement. And, always support student scholarships.
Let's make history together.
