While at CSB/SJU, Dan majored in Economics and minored in Global Business Leadership. He began his first entrepreneurial venture, Nelson Lawn and Landscape, in the spring of 2006, which is now managed by the Nelson Lawn and Landscape Staff in Minneapolis, MN. During his time in Entrepreneur Scholars, Nelson Lawn and Landscape was his main focus, and the program allowed Dan to put an emphasis on the business development of the company. Entrepreneur Scholars also prepared Dan to work on other entrepreneurial ventures during his time with the program using the skills that he learned in and out of the classroom. During his senior year, Dan was also the President of Enactus (formally known as SIFE) which is the student run entrepreneurship club on campus. Exiting the program, Dan is proud of the great connections and lifelong friends that were made during his time in the Entrepreneur Scholars program.
