JAPAN-AMERICA STUDENT CONFERENCE

As members of the American Executive Committee of the Japan-America Student Conference (JASC), we are writing to you today to inform you of an exciting opportunity for any students who are interested in Japan- U.S. relations.

The Japan-America Student Conference was founded in 1934 by Japanese students who were concerned about the deteriorating relations between Japan and the United States. Despite two brief hiatuses, JASC has continued strongly and has now reached its 80th anniversary and 66th conference. In the duration of the month-long program, students will participate in discussion groups called Roundtables, visit sites, attend lectures, and present the conclusions they reached during their discussions at a final forum. JASC enables students to grow as leaders, build mutual understanding, and forge life-long friendships.

We invite students of all studies and backgrounds to participate in the 66th JASC; no background in Japanese studies or language is necessary. We have provided a poster and an infographic with more information about this year's conference. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this unique opportunity with students at your school by forwarding this e-mail to them. More information is also available on JASC's main webpage.

We hope that students from College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University will apply for the 66th JASC and join us for this life-changing summer!

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.

Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely,
