Lourdes González Osnaya

Black and white portrait of a woman with long dark hair styled to one side, wearing a dark top, standing outdoors in front of a blurred brick wall and foliage.

Lourdes González Osnaya is an industrial designer graduated from CIDI, UNAM, with a Master’s in Textile Art from the University of Arts, Crafts, and Design Konstfack in Stockholm, Sweden. She complemented her education with studies in design and arts in Japan and Spain.

Her work is rooted in the materiality of rituals and the characteristics of objects and spaces in ceremonial contexts.Through the reinterpretation of ordinary materials, she seeks a point of convergence between the spiritual and emotional aspects of daily life, addressing themes such as the fragility of matter and the body.

Her work has been exhibited in various countries, including Sweden, Portugal, Japan, the United States, and Mexico, standing out for her ability to transform the ordinary into a deeply sensory and symbolic act.
